Thank you for considering a membership in the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame.
The Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association was inaugurated in 1960 to recognize persons who have made outstanding contributions to Canadian Agriculture, the form of that recognition “to include the hanging of their portraits in a suitable gallery”.
As a member, you will be supporting the Association in celebrating and honouring Canadians for outstanding contributions to the agriculture and food industry and to publicize the importance of their achievements to Canada.
As a lifetime member of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame, I am proud to be part of a distinguished community that celebrates the remarkable achievements of individuals in Canadian agriculture. The Association's mission contributes to the preservation of our agricultural legacy and the promotion of the pivotal role that agriculture plays in our country. The Association Objectives are:
- to recognize persons who have made outstanding contributions to Canadian agriculture
- to prescribe standards and recognition
- to direct all activities pertaining to the selection of the persons eligible for recognition
- to record and to display in an appropriate manner, biographical information pertaining to inductees
- to promote interest in the study of agriculture and food generally
Membership in the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association (CAHFA) offers numerous benefits, including:
- supporting the heritage of Canadian agriculture
- building an educational vehicle for future generations and preserving the biographies of these great Canadians
- eligibility to nominate inductees to the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame
- eligibility for election to the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association Board of Directors
- recognition on the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame Association website
- invitation to the annual Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame induction ceremony
Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame celebrates exceptional people whose visionary leadership and innovative approaches have transformed our industry and led us through important evolutions. CCGA joins with other supporters of the Hall of Fame to honour the inductees’ outstanding achievements, and in doing so encourage new leaders to seize opportunities present in Canadian agriculture.
